FY2027 EPA Brownfields Revolving Loan Fund (RLF) Grant Applications

In May 2026, the EPA announced anticipated funding for the FY2027 Assessment, Revolving Loan Fund, and Cleanup Grant Competitions. Applications are expected to open in Fall 2026. The application submission deadline will be approximately 60 calendar days after the solicitations are published.

EPA Brownfields Revolving Loan Funds (RLF) Grants provide funding to capitalize a revolving loan fund that offers low-interest or no-interest loans and cleanup subgrants for eligible brownfield cleanup projects.

Anticipated FY2027 RLF grant information:

  • Maximum grant amount: $1,000,000 per award.
  • Estimated awards nationwide: 10 awards.
  • Eligible applicants may apply as a single entity or as an RLF Coalition comprising two or more eligible entities.
  • Recipients are required to provide a 20% cost share (match) for cleanup and RLF grants, subject to EPA requirements.
